Smart Contract Wallets

Understanding Smart Contracts and Wallet Compatibility

  1. What is a smart contract wallet?

A smart contract wallet is a type of crypto wallet built using a programmed contract on the blockchain. These wallets offer advanced functions but may not be compatible with all payment providers.

  2. How do I know if my wallet address is a smart contract?

You can use blockchain explorers (like Etherscan) to check. Enter your wallet address and look for a label such as “Contract”. If it’s labelled as a “Contract”, it is not a standard wallet.

  3. Why might my smart contract wallet deposit be rejected?

While OneRoyal accepts deposits from smart contract wallets, some third-party crypto payment providers do not support such transactions. As a result, deposits made via smart contract wallets may be delayed, rejected, or not properly credited. For this reason, we recommend using a standard wallet address to ensure smooth and timely processing.

  4. What should I do if I’ve sent funds using a smart contract wallet?

Contact our support team immediately. You will be asked to provide a standard (non-smart contract) wallet address to which we can refund your funds. Please note that refunds may take up to 5 business days.

  5. What wallet types are accepted?

    We recommend using:

    1. Metamask (non-contract address)
    2. Trust Wallet
    3. Binance Chain Wallet
    4. Any wallet that uses a regular public address and not a contract-based one
  6. How can I move my funds from a smart contract wallet to a regular one?

To ensure compatibility, you can transfer your funds from the smart contract wallet to a standard wallet one that is not contract-based and is fully controlled by you. Simply send the funds to a regular wallet address (such as a non-contract address in MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or Binance Chain Wallet) before initiating a deposit to OneRoyal.

Steps for Successful Deposits

Before Depositing:

  1. Check your wallet address on a blockchain explorer (e.g., Etherscan.io).
  2. Confirm it is not labelled as a “Contract.”
  3. If it is, set up or use a compatible wallet.

How to Deposit Successfully:

  1. Use a regular wallet address.
  2. Double-check that the network selected (e.g., ERC20, BEP20) matches the network displayed on your deposit instructions.
  3. Avoid sending from exchanges or smart contract addresses.

If Your Deposit Was Sent Using a Smart Contract:

  1. Contact support immediately.
  2. Provide your transaction ID (TXID) and a refund wallet address.
  3. Wait for refund processing (up to 5 business days).
