What is a Trailing Stop?

A Trailing Stop is essentially a Stop Loss that automatically gets modified (changes the SL price) as the market price rises for Buy Orders or decreases for Sell Orders. The way it works is simpler than it probably sounds. Let’s assume that the price of EURUSD is 1.20010 and that you opened a Buy Order at that price. Adding a Trailing Stop of 10 Points will automatically add a SL on your position at 1.20010 once the market reaches the level of 1.20020 (1.20020 – 1.20010) = 10 points or 1 pip If the market goes even higher at 1.20030 then the SL will automatically be modified at 1.20020 and so on. While the market drops, the SL will not adjust or readjust itself. That only happens while the market is moving at your order’s direction. What is a Stop Out?

Stop out is the event where your position(s) will automatically close by the System once your Margin Level reaches or drops below a certain level. What does the letter after the CFD (Futures) symbol mean?

Since CFD Futures are derivative contracts based on the Futures market, they carry some of the same characteristics, such as expiry or rollover dates. Each letter after the CFD symbol corresponds to a rollover or expiry month. So, based on the CFD in question, the months can be consecutive or periodic. What is the difference between Leverage and Margin requirement?

Leverage and Margin are similar in nature but state a different point of view. Leverage intends to show someone’s Buying power with a given amount of Funds, while Margin states the Funds needed to open or sustain a position open. Leverage – Example: With a 1:100 Leverage and 1,000 USD in your balance, you can open a trade with a size of 100 times bigger than your balance. In that case, you’re able to open a trade of 100,000 USD. Margin – Example: Margin is the amount needed in your balance to open a trade of a given Size. So, if you want to open a trade of 100,000 USD with a margin requirement of 1%, you then need to have at least 1,000 USD in your balance. What is the Spread and how does it affect my trade?

Spread is basically the difference between the ‘Buy’ Price and the ‘Sell’ Price. When a trader opens a trade at a specific price, he/she will be immediately in a losing position.
